This weekend it was off to Hood River, Or. Had a fantastic time with Jim and Jo! Thank you two very, very much! The drive down I5 both going and coming home was grueling. Heavy rain brought traffic to a stand still on more than one occasion.
While in Hood River we had plenty of time to hob knob, eat and drink well, and generally get caught up with our friends.
Saturday was a trip to the WAAAM (Western Antique Aero and Automotive Museum).
What an amazing collection!

Saturday morning Jim prepped up a fabulous brunch with crab omelet, fresh garden grown strawberries, and hash browns.
After visiting WAAAM we headed up towards the mountain and launched our canoes in Laurence Lake. It was breezy out in the open so we paddled around pretty close to shore. Again, a couple of pictures.

On Sunday we decided on the historical Columbia Gorge Hotel for Brunch. The old hotel is still in fine shape. Watching a wedding party in preparation provided some entertainment. And the hotel put on a nice brunch.

Jim and Jo are overwhelmed with a fabulous garden of strawberries. We harvested a nice bunch to bring home. They have enough for the whole neighborhood...Nothing better than catching up with friends, good food, wine, and a fabulous outing!!!
